What is in the air today? My kids are acting like absolute MONSTERS!!! Abby's feelin' kinda icky so she at least has an EXCUSE.... geesh.. I really think I should have put my foot down with Noah and the Star Wars thing. He runs around ALL day hitting and swinging his light thingie. He's taken to just shovin' Abby down if she's just standing oh ummm ANYWHERE... He's been sent to his room about 15 times today and NOTHING... doesn't phase him. I'm thinking of finding the number to Nanny 911...LOL

BUT I did manage to get this page made.. I've been wanting to start adding some of the kid's cousin's to their books. Kyle would be the one to start with. LOL He's gotten so much better than he used to be but LAWD was he a handful!!!! This new kit from Holly McCaig, For the Boys will be at The Shabby Shoppe in February... totally cute and worth EVERY single cent!!! I'm sure I'll have a few more pages out of that one!

Hopefully I'll get to watch some movies tonight.. John rented me a handful of girlie flicks.. woohoo. He has a tattoo appointment tomorrow so he's suckin' up..LOL I don't even want to know where this one is going to go. He's not that tall.. he's gonna run out of skin soon..hehe In the meantime I'm stuck with some that need recoloring.... you think he'd share his opening with his wifey... uh huh.

Well, I get started on something and I can't STOP.... I need a brain shut off switch or something. I think I'm just happy to be up and around and thinking clearly for a change..hehe

I was stressing over my first lo for Holly's Ct... I mean.. GEESH.. I've been using her things since my VERY first digital page.. LOL PRESSAH...so I struggled for a while.. just decided that the LO is ACTUALLY FOR Abby.. and then it was easy..LOL WHY do I make things difficult? =)

Anway... here's Holly's Memory kit from her site. Tell me this thing is not FABulous. I could have piled a few more things on here too hehe. I'm going to have to make a heritage page with this set.. it just WANTS me to. hehe Let's see.. my favorite thing in here was probably that amazing date marker. HOW COOL is this thing?!?!

We've been having so much fun at the Shoppe lately. We must have the most amazing assembly of women... it's just comfortable and fun.. exactly what we wanted!!! Janel worked the day away while I made a blinkie and a banner..LOL I PLANNED on working but I think I'm just going to do some repackaging and scrap a bit more tomorrow.. THEN work.

Alright... it's almost LATE in the MORNING...LOL I need to catch a few hours before the herd awakens.

We finally get to pick up the kiddos tomorrow.. I don't care if a blizzard hits and I have to ice skate my ass to Chicago.. I NEED to see my babies..hehe John's been mopin' around for 2 days now..it's like it finally just started to wear on us. We now know that 2 weeks is just TOO long. I DID need the break though..I feel so much better. Also learned that John and I *ARE* good together.. even without the kids around. Ya start to wonder... or I do anyway...if it's just the kids that we're actually here for. It's like your life REVOLVES around their little whims and you forget to take care of the other adult in your house. I mean.. John is lucky if I fix HIM something for dinner... much less make sure I talk to him about how his day went. It's been good for us...I *do* love my little ewok. =)

I made this LO today with Janel's My Cousin's Bedroom kit from The Shoppe. The little felt stars are by Amy Martin.. I LOVE her.. Janel and I have this joke going about my obsession with that chick..hehe. She's just tooooo amazing. I also JUST bought those acrylic alphas from Dani Mogstad... could they be any cuter? Also.. my own bling there.. I gave them out to a few folks and I think I'm the only one who uses them..hehe Maybe it's the LEO in me.. who knows. I like the pretties.

I've gotta secret goin on..... I'm holdin' my breath and crossin' my fingers... I should know soon IF I should be excited... I don't wanna say ANYthing because I don't wanna jinx myself. BUT for the LOVE OF GOD... if ya love me AT ALL... think good thoughts for me..LOL

Wow... AI was wild..LOL I already have one of the top 10.. that vocal coach daughter.. GEESH she could blow!!! I missed the very end though because of the husband.. grrrr. Why is it they don't appreciate AI or Reality shows like women? He'll get into Survivor or anything with an engine.. Monster this and Chopper that. Men!

I'm using bloggerbot... for those of you Blawgahs that aren't familiar with it.. you basically just instant message your own blog through HELLO and it's magically zipped to your blog.. you should check it out!!! You can even whip pictures into here with a click of a button. FABU dahlink.

I just have to say... I cannot wait for the Shabby Shop to open... I wanna see what Holly has up her sleeve.. also.. Taran Conyers man.. yep.. too excited. My paypal account is loaded and ready to go...hehe
We also have the shoppe almost finished.. we spent the day copying files and such from the old site to the new one. I'm just so ready for it to be done... We have some exciting things happening and I am an impatient chick!

Finally.. now I can't wait to see what the totally smokin' Shoppe Girls are gonna do with her..LOL
They so are one of the best groups of women! I want to start including some of them with the previews.. I'm gonna have to somehow coordinate that coming up... again.. more time please.

Sooooo can I just tell you that I'm stalking' Jenni Bowlin's site.. just waiting to see what she's doing. I LOVED her with LIl Davis so I'm just waiting.. and waiting.. and waiting... LOL So many women are crankin' up their own sites and doin' it for themselves.. it's empowering. My Mom was just telling me today how she wasn't allowed to play drums in school because she was a girl... can you imagine. I DARE someone to tell my daughter she CAN'T do something... I'll go all "Livingston Parish" on em... hehe Katy is so the only person who might even know what that means.. but it's the cajun equivalent to hood rat...ahhhh Don't ya love me this late.

I'm also wondering today... why I can't find a decent hotel room in or around New Orleans for Feb... ummm could it be that Mardi Gras is going to rock this year despite what mamma nature threw at her? Heck yeah... I soooo cannot wait. Our plans are still in pencil.. and much to the dismay of my hubby.. I WILL go even if it's AFTER MG. I have things to tend to... destiny to try out...LOL

Ummmm so I did it..LOL I can't help it. I LOVE Roller Derby for some reason.. it's just WIKKID coolness..on wheels!!

This is my 'queen' version.. I should have the king version up next week.. can't forget the fellahs now. =)

I had so much fun on this one.. each kit teaches me something new.. I can't wait to see where I'll be in year from now. It's just so fun!

I broke down and joined myspace with some friends of mine.. OMG the fun I've been having over there! At first I felt kinda old ... maybe a tad dorky for being over there.. but I have embraced it...it's a magical thing folks..hehe

I learned today that Abby is watching ENTIRELY too much Little Mermaid.. she picked up a fork off the counter and exclaimed.. " A DINGLEHOPPER!!!!"..hehe I DIED laughing... ahhhh gotta love the little heathens. And... speaking of heathens.. it's PAST their bedtime.. I need to go wrangle em into some jammies.

DRAMA.... I'm not afraid to say that I'm SKEERED of it..hehe After much of the dreaded 'D' growing up... I'm just tired of it. That's all I'm saying.

On to goodness... hehe OMG.. Janel is so whipping up some print worthy papers.. I SWEAR'Ta all that is sei.. they NEED her new line.

SOooooo I've been childfree for 24 hours now... I'm just calming down. I actually showered.. ALONE.. had an entire drink to myself... and I'm now enjoying MY RADIO STATION. AMAZing!!! I'm jammin' out (90's speak for ROCKIN) to Kelly Clarkson. SOooo I said it... I'm totally lovin' Kelly Clarkson. I'm an AI addict. For those of you who don't know.. I think it's one step up from Star Trek fans..*wink* ( I love ya j...LMAOOO)

I'm sorry.. I'm just in a goofy mood today. I have had the worst feeling about something and to have something decided has lifted a weight off my chest! I'm burstin' with fruit flavah.

Just a little something I worked up for Janel..LOL I was working on something and made this flower paper and she fell in love with it.. so instead of scratchin' it.. I made a little kit for it! Gotta love supportive friends..hehe

Today's been crazy... the kids are stir crazy and I think we need to just get them out of the house tomorrow.. maybe a trip to see Santa is in order! I don't wanna think about the mall tomorrow though.. ICK.

On another note.. Richard Pryor died today.. I am so bummed. I know he was gettin' up there but you when you watch movies or routines where they are still young and thrivin' ... it's easy to forget. I just wonder about his family... or all the people who have careers because of him... like Eddie Murphy (whom I also TOTALLY love..hehe). It must be hard to lose a mentor. Ok.. so I don't know where I'm goin' with this. I'm not doing death very well lately.... too much of it going around... but I wanted to say.. he will be missed.

We also announced the new CT today... whoohooooo!!! LOL We had some AMAZING women apply and we really had trouble cutting it down to something we thought we could handle. It's so fun having all of them around already.. I can't wait to see what they accomplish!

Sometimes I wonder how I became a parent. This morning I woke up early and was sitting at the computer working on a kit and my daughter came up behind me and put her little arms around me.. (alright... so partially around me. ON me.. ON me...she put her arms ON me..LOL) I had one of those moments... ya know what I'm talking about. The OMG... I'm this little girls MOM!!! I'm a MOMMY... I mean.. I feel blessed beyond my wildest, but how did this happen? I suddenly think about how selfish I can be... how insanely moody I get...my need to just be alone...COLLEGE savings...$80 dollar jeans and $140 dollar shoes! I think about trips to the salon...getting our nails done...and the inevitable "leave me alone" stage... I just can't wait. I always wanted a son... I thought I could handle a boy... I mean, I didn't see myself as the mother type at all..but if I had to have something.. a boy. AND then.. well, I get a boy AND a girl all at one time. What strange twist of fate was this... I was angry. Mad...that I didn't even get a chance to "learn" how to be a Mom with ONE little baby... I was forced to have TWO. I was sure this was something I was going to mess up. And the jury is still out really.. =)
BUT ... mornings like this... with my babies all snuggled in Mommy's bed watching Spongebob, I'm content. Morning hugs and peanut butter toast. Does it get any better?

Thank GOD alright.. It's been a long week. I think my kids are out to prove that they are REALLY the boss of me or something..LOL Between yelling at each other, screaming at me, or just SCREAMING... I need a day of quiet!! Soooo who want's em. *wink*

In between all of that I managed to squeeze in this kit.. I must say, I love the things I've been working on. I guess we all feel that way or we wouldn't be doing it!! I want to take down all my old kits and just redo them.. I think the concept was good, I just didn't know what I was doing enough to make them look the way I wanted!! SOOooooo I guess I'll be busy. =)

WELL WELL WELL...I am a bad bloggah! I have to learn to update more often.
I've had quite a few things going on lately. I won't bore you with details. BUT this one I WILL share with ya...

Well, I can't wait for the kids to go Trick or Treating tonight! This is a LO I just made of Abby and her costume...she just LOVES it. I have a feeling it will get a TON of wear.

Noah's gonna be the Thing... he's into the 'Tastiks. (Fantastic 4) SOoooo thankfully we're set. I was getting worried. Hopefully next year I'll be better prepared... I hate last minute hunts!

I do have a another bit of good news. I've been hanging around a site called ScrapMommies...it's an amazing site with the nicest women... welllllllll I'm on the DT!!! How fabulous is that? The owner is Traci Reed and that's her handywork in that layout!!! That kit is the Amy's Texas Princess Kit and it's just TOO adorable. I'll be using that one again! If you are into Digi Scrapping.. you have to come check us out!!!!

It's been a GREAT week.
Know what? I made it on the Tracey Lee Creative Team!!!!

I'm so happy because well, she just rawks..LOL I can't wait to get started!!! I'll probably play with some of the kits she sent today.... I can't post them but I can SURE fondle the pixels..hehe I made this layout with one of her freebie kits. Just gorgeous paper huh!!

ALSO have a card request from Correspondence art magazine!!! It's a Thank You card that was inspired by a card I had to make for my MIL's employees. SOooo that was cool too!!

AND OMG do I have a SECRET!!! I can't even breathe a word of it...but I'm totally ecstatic!!!!! ( You know that exclamation points just do not EMPHASIZE the depth of my joy!!!) It's just PERFECT for me. I can't believe my good fortune!!! I just LOVE the digital world! Who would have guessed that someone as addicted to paper could find such satisfaction in digital... I just have to make it a point to get these things printed now!!!

Sometimes I need a little validation and this week sure has given it to me... all is right in Misty Land!!! NOW if only I could get my house clean... but that's another issue.
